of 'psychedelic funk', while inviting Brandon on stage for a funkified
version of A Certain Shade of Green and for their final song,
using his voice as an additional instrument. With Jose playing
behind a Japanese dressing curtain, Mike took center stage for
the event. He greeted the crowd with a wave, and played the first
few songs without uttering a word. Towards the middle of the show,
he thanks the crowd and introduces the band members. The last
song is called "Los 3 Putos," a tribute to their hometown
of Calabasas.

The band came out to the Mario Brothers Theme song. Ben Kenney's
first Incubus show. First performance of two new songs, 'Megalomaniac'
and 'Pistola'. They also played a cover by 'Shudder to Think'.
Mike played the right side of the stage and Ben the left, a first
for incubus. Mike played the entire set with Fender guitars, instead
of his trademark PRS's. The set was cut short due to tornado warnings
in the area, three songs were cut from the setlist.
After nice to know you, Brandon said, "Hey everybody, this
is Ben, say hi." After Circles Brandon said that he had never
seen a tornado before 'cause he is from California. He also said
that they were really excited to play this tour because they grew
up going to lollapalooza.

I want to say to know, but don't know how to say it. I guess it's
I love you."
Right before the band played 'Pistola', Brandon said to the crowd,
"Not to add insult to injury, but look at our band now."

After Vitamin Brandon said to the crowd, "This here is an
event in its own right!", pointing towards the center of
the crowd.
After Stellar, Brandon rolled back like he was getting ready to
chuck a water bottle as far as he could but fake threw it and
it fell behind him.
Brandon was on the side stage for every single bands set, taking
in the whole atmosphere. He seemed to really dig the Queens and
the Donnas. Kilmore seemed real intent on watching the DJ's during
Jurassic 5's performance.

Before playing Drive, Brandon said, "The next song was played
one too many times on the radio but fuck it."
During vitamin's musical break when they usually turn it in to
a jam, they just kept getting louder and crazier until they were
playing what can only be described as chaos and then they stopped
and didn't finish the song.
Brandon introduced everyone to ben and ben waved to the crowd.
Later, he looked at himself on the jumbro tron and said, "hey
thats me!"

The band came in with the Mario Brothers theme again, and during
Vitamin, they did the same break down as in the Milwaukee show,
but this time they dragged it out for nearly 5 additional minutes.
Brandon also was experimenting with new ways of singing the old
songs which threw the crowd off a little bit.
Mike also made a guest appearance with Janes addiction and played
a song
with them. A bird flew on stage and was just kinda hanging out
on Jose's drums for a while as he was playing.

said, "Stop fucking fighting you dickheads," and Brandon
said, "nah, their not fighting, they're guy hugging."
He went on to talk about "girl hugging" and "guy

In the begining of Circles someone threw a water bottle on stage
that splashed Brandon. After Circles Brandon got his water and
dumped it on the pit. Brandon described the new songs as "old,
only older". Halfway through "Vitamin", they did
the jam session again and it kept getting faster while Mike did
a little solo. Brandon told the crowd to, "say hi to Ben,
he does good." Ben was very energetic throughout the entire
show. He also sang backups to several songs, including "the
warmth".
Brandon made a comment to the people sitting on the grass, saying,
"that is where all the magic happens."

During the show each band member wore a t-shirt that had a picture
of another band member on it, and the caption above it said, "BESTEST

saying, "I love you...and you, and you and you..." while
pointing to members in the audience.

The intro music again was the Mario Bros. theme, which got everyone
laughing and into it. After warning, someone threw a bra onstage
at Brandon and he kind of blushed and laughed and put it on the
drum set. Vitamin started with the Kilmore and Jose beatbox intro,
but slower than the one they usually do. Vitamin was unfinished
and went into a cool jam featuring Mike doing some great guitar
work and then eventually fell apart into "Hello" by
Lionel Ritche. Nowhere fast began with a Walking On The Moon intro,
mostly just from Ben though. Nowhere Fast was also unfinished
and went into "X French T- Shirt" right before the break
where it's just Brandon and Mike. Brandon was hailing Mike or
Ben whenever they had a solo. A lot of fun to be there. Brandon
made a comment something like "What are all of those big
weird cups you guys have out there?" (referring to these
mix drink funnels the venue was selling) "... I guess those
are for the tornado or something..Dont drink too much, think about
your liver's... anywho here's one called Circles."

Hello
Notes: Second full length performance of the
Time Lapse Consortium.
The members of Hoobustank, as well as Carolyn Murphy and Chris Kilmore were in attendance among the 200 people at the show. Only Mike, Ben, Neal, Jose, and Brandon took the stage (there was no orchestra), with Brandon playing a quad Bongo set the entire night when he wasn't performing his vocal duties. While playing the bongos, he donned an oversized pair of hep cat sunnglasses. Mike acknowledged the crowd several times by rasing his Corona bottle. The five as a whole were laughing and smiling at each other the entire night. At several points, songs developed into full on jams and solos by Mike, Ben, Jose, and Neal. When brandon got up to sing ACSOG, one girl screamed out, "Sexy!". Mike replied to this by saying something quietly to brandon that made him laugh. After ACSOG, the band played a cover of a the old lounge song "Night & Day". Next on the list was a completely stripped, jazzed, and trippy version of "Are You In?" that lasted easilly 10 minutes. During this song, a fan in front yelled out, "Dude, You guys are tripping me out!" which got the band and the entire audience laughing and cheering. Later, the band played a jam that slowly evolved into Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box. What was particularly intersting about this is that Ben and Neal handled the melody of the song while Mike played the vocal harmony with his guitar (brandon did not sing.) They played the entire song this way, after which mike stepped up to the mic to address the crowd while Neal and Ben played Nirvana's "Come As You Are". He basically said, "thanks for coming, this is our last song," after saying something to brandon, he said, "Brandon wants me to rap, but I'm not a good MC...so..." After playing patrollin, the band left the stage, waving and shaking hands as they left. Ben stayed on a little longer to wave to fans, and got a bit of a personal ovation before finally leaving while holding up a peace sign. As soon as the band walked off stage, Larry Melero (mike's tech) Popped his head out the door and held up a finger, signifying one more song. Very shortly afterwards the band returned. Brandon said, "We're going to give this a shot. My father wrote this song." before going into Hello (of course he was only joking.)

The band came out once again to the Super Mario Bros. theme songs.
Ben wore a shirt that said, "Keep it Gay!"
Somewhere near Circles, Brandon removed his shirt, to which there
was a loud, feminine applause. Retorting to the obvious attention,
Brandon said, "You guys having fun out there yet?" More
applause. "Are you guys wet out there yet?" There was
a lot of laughter, and Brandon made a face as if to say, "did
I just say that out loud?"
Brandon again introduced Ben to the crowd, who had another smashing
solo in the middle of stellar.

During the show, people were passing out Trojan condoms for free,
and people in the audience were blowing them up and making balloons
out of them, so there were blown up condoms flying all over the
place! One landed on stage and Bradon began to play with it like
a toy submarine. During "Are You In?" instead of singing
"It's so much easier, when sea-foam green is in fashion"
he sang "It's so much easier, when blown up condoms float
around!"
After "Hello", Brandon said "that's one of the
many songs we wish we'd written."

When they first came out to play, the PA wasn't working, and when
they started into "Warning" you couldn't hear Brandon.
They stopped, then Brandon's mic came on, and he said, "Oh
there we go....is it gonna stay on?" Then they started "Warning"
over. Before "Nowhere Fast" they did a little of The
Police's "Walking on the Moon". Brandon said "Are
You In?" is a very special song that he wrote about him and
his friends when they were recording in a little house in California
(the Morning View Mansion).

and brandon offered them to Ben and Mike before discarding them.
