I was not at the first show so I can't comment on what that might have been like. But, I was there for show #2 and I can say that the level of energy in the Santiago Arena literally sent chills down my spine. I must also say that the Chilean fans are some of the most passionate and warmhearted people one could ever hope to meet. "Venice whirlwind injures 25, blows out Pearl Jam gig 06/16/2007 The whirlwind hit late in the afternoon, bringing down sound towers and girders on the stage for the Heineken Jammin' Festival as well as trees in the surrounding park. Several vehicles were overturned by the winds. A whirlwind hit Venice on Friday, injuring about 25 people and forcing the cancellation of a festival headlined by American rock band Pearl Jam was to have played, police and fire services said. The whirlwind hit late in the afternoon, bringing down sound towers and girders on the stage for the Heineken Jammin' Festival as well as trees in the surrounding park. Several vehicles were overturned by the strong winds. The damage forced the cancellation of the festival, organiser Roberto De Luca told local media. The park where the concert was to have been held was on the mainland part of the city and there were no reports of damage in the city's historic centre in the lagoon. Venice Mayor Massimo Cacciari said 19 people had been taken to hospitals but only one suffered serious fractures, news agency ANSA reported. Traffic on the bridge that connects the lagoon city to the mainland was temporarily disrupted by debris." |

Incubus has been forced to postpone the remaining dates of their European tour and planned South American tour (complete list below) as the result of an injury to guitar player Mike Einziger’s hand. It has been determined by Mike’s doctors that surgery is the most viable option for enabling a fast and full recovery. The expected healing time is 8-12 weeks. All of the members in Incubus wish to express their apologies to fans holding tickets for the postponed concerts. Details for the rescheduled shows will be announced soon. Mikey has been having a difficult time on this tour with his fret hand and has been playing in quite a bit of pain. We thought it best to get him to a hand specialist to treat the problem and he is flying to LA to do that. We apologize to all the band's fans in Leipzig and hope to be able to reschedule the show. He may be suffering from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome which occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the hand, becomes pressed or squeezed at the wrist.
